Journal Entry 11.14.23
The transition back to the city is so much greater than the distance. The landscape changes, the speed of the traffic. The villages turn into the suburbs of the city. The traffic increases and they way the traffic interacts is different. I feel like I have been caught up in a river that has changed direction and speed. I want to go back, but I know I can’t. I reluctantly enter the city, experience the culture shock, and curl up in my hotel room, feeling vulnerable and wounded.
