Journal Entry 9.9.23

Finally, after running for 4 years, I have finally caught COVID. It is hard to reconcile the fear I endured watching my father die during a pandemic, not knowing what it all meant and how it was contracted and why people died to easily at first. It is hard to resolve getting COVID after getting divorced over Zoom because the courts were not open, the history of a plague, suddenly reduced to a miserable sickness, bad, but not as bad as many other sicknesses I have endured. Like losing my virginity, getting COVID seems like a lot of fuss over a fairly ordinary human experience.
