I have arrived in Kathmandu. Now the work must begin in earnest. I have prepared myself by unearthing the past. But now I must commit to letting go. Letting go of the familiarity of rejection and sadness and loss. Letting go of the comfort of fighting and defensiveness. Letting go of feeling worthless. I must let go of all the pain, all the hurt, without letting go of the story. I must continue to tell my story, but tell it differently. But first I must unbind, unweave, untie, unstitch the past so that it no longer holds me back.
